Vigil to #EndFamilySeparation

Earlier this month, when Attorney General Jeff Sessions announced plans to prosecute all migrants crossing the US-Mexican border, it became official US policy to routinely separate children from their parents. Hundreds of children have been ripped from their families: 658 kids in the first 13 days of the program alone (as reported by Customs and Border Protection at Senate subcommittee).

The situation is critical. Just last week, on May 23rd, Claudia Gonzalez, a young woman from Guatemala was murdered by a CBP officer at the US - Mexico border. There are hundreds of stories like this, and thousands more of children and families torn apart by Trump’s deportation force.

Join us to denounce the inhumane and cruel treatment of immigrant children and families in immigration enforcement. We hope to achieve the following goals:
Educate the public about the range of human rights abuses against children and families in immigration enforcement policy,
Stop the practice of family separation,
Stop criminally prosecuting border-crossers,
Stop funding for ICE and CBP, the agencies responsible for all the pain in our communities.
