This curriculum was developed with love and adapted from years of direct action training in and out of the Ruckus Community. This curriculum is intended to be a starting point for training(s) you may be delivering to your community in moments of rapid response. The Ruckus Society's approach is to deliver a curriculum that harvests knowledge from participants while building their direct action knowledge and comfort. It seeks to remind community members that they are experts in defining their problems and creating solutions both on and off the streets. Many of the tools you will work with in this curriculum are based on popular education methodologies. While, as trainers who bring with them action experience, The Ruckus Society is looked upon to provide answers and expertise, through popular education tools, this curriculum can support participants in finding and feeling their own expertise in taking action.
