Answer

NJAIJ's Movement Mentorship Program is designed to build a powerful and connected immigrant rights movement. Institutional hierarchies have kept networking, mentorship, and professional development opportunities inaccessible to non profit workers who are majority women and people of Color. The Movement Mentorship program acknowledges that advocates of Color have a unique analysis of power, politics, and public policy because of our lived experiences

This 5 month program is for mentees who seek to grow their careers as social justice advocates and for movement mentors that look to give back to the movement they are a part of. The goal for the Movement Mentorship Program is to ensure NJAIJ members have a strong support system as they navigate their professional development, lead advocacy in Trenton, and invest their skills back into community.
