Register for the Families Belong Together NJ march at:
Trump and his administration have been systematically criminalizing immigration and immigrants, from separating children from their parents, to now detaining entire families, from revoking Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) to ramping up intimidating ICE tactics. This must end NOW.
WHAT WE STAND FOR: We demand an end to immigration detention and the criminalization of immigrants at the border and in New Jersey. We call on the Trump administration to end family detention now and to keep families united in their communities, where they belong. And we call on our members of Congress to take action to prevent the separation of families - whether its children at the border, longtime TPS holders, DACA recipients and immigrant families. Now is the time to #AbolishICE - a rogue agency that has for too long perpetrated abuses on our communities and separated millions of families. Here in New Jersey, ICE arrests are increasing at a rapid rate, outpacing the national average and terrorizing our communities. We call on our state elected officials to stand up to protect immigrant families in New Jersey by ensuring out state does not aid in the mass deportation efforts of the Trump administration, that all immigrants have access to legal counsel and may live, drive and study in safety in New Jersey.
On Saturday, June 30th, we will march in Newark, New Jersey, in solidarity with marches and rallies in Washington D.C. and throughout the country. We'll begin at Newark City Hall at 11 a.m. and march to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services Center on 970 Broad Street. We will tell our federal and state officials that ALL FAMILIES, at the border, across our nation, and here in New Jersey deserve to be protected.
JOIN US ON SATURDAY, JUNE 30TH. Get the date on your calendar AND SHARE THIS EVENT WITH EVERYONE YOU KNOW. Families are depending on us. The foundation of our nation is depending on us. Our message needs to be loud and clear. The larger the turnout, the louder our collective voice will be! We MUST come together because ALL FAMILIES BELONG TOGETHER.
